BGP Map is a free tool. Using it means you accept these few conditions.

The data

Routes come from RIPE RIS, read through the RIPEstat API, and network names come from RIPE's published AS name list. BGP Map is not affiliated with the RIPE NCC. The time above each map says when the routes were checked.

Accuracy

A map shows how a prefix looks from the RIPE RIS collector peers at that moment. It is not a full picture of the Internet, and a path that is missing here can still exist. The tier labels (T1, T2) are our own grouping, not an official classification. The service is provided as it is, without a guarantee that it is correct, complete or always available, and you should not rely on it alone for decisions that could cause damage if a route were wrong.

Automated use

• Ordinary use, including the PNG and SVG downloads, is free.
• The JSON at /json/<prefix> is for individual lookups. Bulk or repeated requests are rate limited, and a client that keeps going after being limited may be blocked.
• Map images are generated on request and are not for harvesting. The robots.txt file lists what crawlers may fetch.

If you publish a map or routes taken from here, please mention RIPE RIS. A link to this site is welcome but not required.

These terms can change. The version on this page is the one that applies, and what is recorded about a visit is described on the privacy page.
